The entire Blues Community
was saddened by the loss of our
good friend Rich Schneider
who passed away on March 11.
Not only was he a great promoter of the Blues, he was the greatest ambassador for Western New York and Southern Ontario in representing us to the Blues World.
Along with his wife Sharon, he was the voice of Blues Beat Magazine. They interviewed and photographed every great Blues musician of the last half-century.
Rich was the driving spirit behind Crossborder Blues and a very
dear friend and supporter of the Canal Bank Shuffle.
Most importantly, he was in every sense of the word, a true gentleman.
We will miss him terribly.
