Lil' Ed Williams, with his firey, rough-edged slide guitar style and flamboyant live shows, has garnered a large, loyal following of fans.
The Downchild Blues Band
walked away the big winners at the 2008 Maple Blues Awards ceremony.
Band members took home a total of five awards, with Chuck Jackson capturing the Male Vocalist of the Year award. A band that needs no introduction anywhere in the world, they have taken their place among the world's most recognizable bands and brought Canada along into the Blues limelight.

Johnny Max Band
There’s no one like J
ohnny. Showmanship, humour and, most of all, incredible talent are wrapped up in Johnny’s show. JM's ebullient and boisterous voice is in fine fettle throughout as he whips up soulful helpings of Memphis stew of the Stax/Volt mode, with some noticeable New Orleans tidbits tastefully thrown in.
